Life is busy. It's not always easy to make it to in-person therapy sessions. I offer online sessions only for our convenience and health.
Hi there, thanks for stopping by my website. Since you're on this page, the chances are that you are looking for a therapist to support you in working through grief and trauma symptoms. Do any of these things sound familiar to you? Dealing with nightmares, bad memories, "flashbacks", poor sleep, can't concentrate, feeling low self worth, feeling disconnected from the world around you, or having trouble trusting others? Maybe you feel "lost" after the passing of a loved one, or after a major life change like a divorce, a move, a new job or layoff.
If any of the above sounds familiar, individual therapy services can give the support you need to move forward with your life. You don't have to deal with feeling "stuck" or distressed by your trauma or grief related symptoms any longer. Healing IS possible for everyone. You have the strength to overcome your challenges. As a therapist specializing in grief and trauma treatment, I would be honored to provide you with therapeutic guidance and support.
If you're working with me as your dedicated trauma and/or grief therapist , you can expect your therapy sessions to be client centered; that means that you're the "boss" during your session. You and I will work together as a team to address the things that are most important to you. I focus on making sure that you understand why your body and mind react the way they do after experiencing trauma, and/or grief. By understanding why we feel the way we do, we can start to regain control of our lives again. I will use only peer reviewed therapeutic interventions in our sessions such as (not limited to) CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing.
I began my journey as a social worker in 2012, driven by the desire to learn and grow. I was fortunate to be accepted into a graduate program in 2013, where I balanced my studies with an internship in an intensive outpatient hospital setting. This experience allowed me to work closely with clients facing challenges such as Addiction, Schizophrenia, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
After earning my Master of Social Work (MSW), I transitioned to community work, primarily in case management. I supported individuals grappling with PTSD and other co-occurring mental health challenges, including Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, Addiction, and Bipolar I Disorder. Although this casework was rewarding, I missed the personal connection of one-on-one client interactions.
My journey then led me to hospice care, where I worked with families and individuals navigating significant life changes, loss, and grief. This role was deeply fulfilling and motivated me to pursue my license, which opened the door to in-home individual therapy. Working directly with clients in the community allowed me to provide support for PTSD, grief, loss, and life transitions in a personalized setting.
After obtaining my license, I explored opportunities in a hospital setting. While this work was meaningful, I realized my true calling was in individual therapy. Today, I focus on helping clients manage the symptoms caused by PTSD, grief, and loss, providing compassionate support and guidance on their journey to healing.
